Our Philosphy
At Bijou Indochine, every piece is chosen for its beauty, craftsmanship, and sense of story. Our pieces are treasures meant to be discovered, worn, and loved for years to come.
The Story Behind Bijou Indochine
Bijou Indochine began in 2016 as a personal passion for creating jewelry inspired by my Buddhist background and a love for authentic gemstones. What started as pieces I made for myself quickly grew through pop ups, markets, and a wonderful community of customers who connected with the jewelry.
In the early days, every piece was made in a small room at home before eventually moving into a tiny studio in my converted garage.
Over time, Bijou Indochine has grown into more than jewelry. Today the shop also features a thoughtfully curated collection of vintage kimonos, accessories, and special pieces sourced from around the world, each chosen for its craftsmanship, beauty, and individuality.
Bijou Indochine is for those who prefer pieces with a story — objects chosen not just for how they look, but for the feeling they carry and the meaning they hold.
What began as a small pop-up shop with friends on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica in 2022 eventually became a permanent home for the store, and I feel incredibly grateful to share this space and community with the people who walk through our doors.
With love,
Natalie
